Mohammed Hag-Ali

Dr. Mohammed Hag-Ali (PhD), Executive Dean of Health Sciences at the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT), UAE. Member of the Investigators group in the Abu Dhabi Cohort Study (ADCS) of chronic diseases, Ambassador of Health at the Abu Dhabi Health Authority. Member of the Executive Board of the UAE Nursing and Midwifery Council.

Graduate academic qualifications include MSc in Microbiology from University of Khartoum, PhD in Pharmacology at George Washington University, USA and fellowship in immunology and molecular biology at Harvard Medical School and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, USA.


Held several positions in academia and healthcare services, IAT Managing Director’s Advisor for the Health Sciences; Head of Academic Affairs at Fatima College of Health Sciences (FCHS); Assistant to the Medical Director and Consultant in  Preventive Medicine and Public Health Department in the Medical Services Corps and Zayed Military Hospital of the UAE Armed Forces. Acted as member of the Public Health Law Committee of the Ministry of Health, UAE.

Headed the Division of Genetics and Molecular Biology in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and the organ transplantation Laboratory at the King Fahad National Guard Hospital, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Actively participating in higher education strategic planning and policy, teaching and learning, curriculum, assessment, leadership and management. Professional activities include healthcare education and service in the areas of preventive and laboratory medicine, forensics and bioinformatics.

Presented as keynote and invited speaker at several international conferences in the areas of stem cell transplantation, higher education and health information management.
